If you are wondering, then know this. I wear this to airports, I wear this to playgrounds, I wear this to Christmas markets in France. Why? Because it’s perfect. Love the craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Fits in to any environment, and seems to have the right space and pocket you need for your journey. I ditched my other leather sling bag that I was though was cool and trendy because this one is better. That’s right… despite the warning, I went full [Dad Mode].

Fathercraft is a must for new Dads, and it’s also a great refresher for second kids if it’s been a while since the infant stage. Watching helped me feel so much more prepared and block out the noise from all the unhelpful information the internet and ads try to tell you. The Dad jokes are awesome and keeps the course fun. Highly recommend, you’ll feel so much more confident!!

I’ve held on to this review to really give the bag a full review. Coming from this Dad of two(2), with the 2nd being 3months old, I can honestly say this bag is phenomenal.
Now that my spouse and I have alternated paternal leave I have been able to put the bag to the test.
The bag is spacious yet compact. I’m have successfully packed in 3m/o change of clothes, 3 prefilled 6oz bottles, IYKYK; 3 chambered dry formula holder thing, toy, pacifier , diapers and water bottle for dad.
The cross body sling strap offers quick convenient accessibility without interruption of the one handed leg hold. At first the flid lock buckle took a minute to understand but once I noticed it’s magnetic recoil for putting it back…..satisfying.
It’s compacted yet spacious. I stuff more things in and I am surprised by the fact that its not bulky or bulging out like the “MOM” baby bag that takes up the middlespace in back seat of the car when you go on a drive to the park. This bag can hold the stuff you need plus more for a 4-5 hour errand run, for Momma Bear, before you have to restock.

You often hear about companies that stand by their product. I often wonder, do they really? In this case, the answer is a resounding — YES! A little over a year and a half ago I was about to become the primary caregiver to my first daughter (aka “The House Spouse”). I wanted a bag that was not only versatile and durable, but also didn’t make me feel like I was going into tactical combat nor walking in the set of “Clueless.” It seemed like those were my two options until I found Fathercraft. A modest messanger bag/backpack that has the capacity to carry everything you want for any situation or travel as light as you need when strolling around a museum.

Needless to say, this bag fit the bill. Then, fast forward a 1.5 years later to today (August 22, 2025). While running late for storytime at our local library with my bag slung over my shoulder, daughter in one hand, and water bottle in the other — the strap ripped as I was plopping everything down. I reached out to Fathercraft thinking that I could connect to a customer service rep in order to buy a new bag or send it in to get repaired. To my utter surprise the following happened:

1. Paul, the co-founder responded to my email a few hours later
2. Paul offered to personally help replace my bag and deliver it himself
3. Paul delivered the new bag as promised and didn’t ask for the old bag in exchange (though offered several times)

What can I say?! The bag has worked amazingly and will continue it’s utility as a messenger/backpack well after it carries all the baby supplies I need. I will continue to speak of Fathercraft’s resolve to stand by it’s product to any parent in the market for a first bag or a replacement bag that hasnt lived up to expectations.

You will not be disappointed.

Not only does the course deliver valuable educational materials for preparing and caring for a baby, but it also provides an opportunity to take action for your baby, yourself, and your family. My wife was growing a baby and I was caring for her and working on the house, but I needed something more to help with feeling like I was taking tangible steps to prepare for this big step. I turned to Fathercraft and I am so glad I did. My baby and wife have benefited from the information I’ve gotten through the course and I would recommend it to expecting fathers and potentially as a gift for a close friend if they are looking for something like this.

My family went from 1-3 because of this crazy idea we had to foster and adopt two newborn babies 7 months apart. Ha ha ha ha! Silly us. This bag amazingly holds everything we need for three kids including toys, snacks, and school supplies for our homeschooled 5 year old AND a treat for mama every kid has toys for the car, things to chew on, sensory toys to relieve anxiety, and everything in between. I love all the possible ways to set up a changing station to-go as I often need extra outfits for the babies and swim gear for the big kid. Along with clips, you can easily attach extra things like poop bag dispensers or extra hand sanitizer as well as the all important fake car keys. I did have a bag clip break which was surprising, but fathercraft replaced the bag immediately and were so great! Love supporting this group as I have used their honest reviews and feedback in many of the products I’ve chosen in my home. Thank you guys!

My Daughter and SIL put this Fathercraft backpack on their baby registry so I ordered it for them. It was delivered to the wrong address. I rec’d notification it was delivered to my house and it showed the front porch of a different house. I called fathercraft and Paul answer the phone and was so nice and helpful immediately. He reached out to UPS and then he told me to file a claim with UPS and then UPS told me that the sender should file the claim it went back and forth, but the whole while Paul was just trying to help me get the bag as I told him it was a shower gift for my kids. He was so very helpful and it was so nice to have his help and support for 48 hours until the bag was re-delivered to my house. He was patient and always did what he said he was going to do and kept in close contact until the bag was in my hands! It was really the best customer service experience I’ve ever had.

This diaper bag is awesome. My wife originally got us a “pretty” diaper bag but it was not doing it for us. I had heard of this bag through the Fathercraft podcast and decided to try it out. It’s been phenomenal. So functional and purposefully spacious. You can tell that a lot of thought went into the design. It’s a quality product and will last for all the kiddos to come. Very happy with the purchase!!

I feel much more prepared after completing this course. The information is presented in an easy to understand and entertaining way. The checklists are very helpful too!
